Melanie & Solomon
When we were first introduced to these two, we had no idea just how wonderfully nerdy they were, and were pleasantly surprised to be enlightened to the fact. As such, their special day had the most colourful atmosphere, and it truly was a joy to be witness to it! After a super chill morning of getting ready, we made our way to the Links Golf Course at Spruce Grove, where the bridal party kicked off the ceremony by entering to the Imperial March. While our inner nerds proceeded to geek out, we were treated to some absolutely gorgeous moments, complete with some soul-melting, humour-filled vows, and a rose ceremony with their parents. The couple made their way back down the aisle amidst a cloud of bubbles, and it was off to let loose, and enjoy the chilly afternoon sunshine. The bridal party were absolute troopers. Chilly was definitely the word to describe the weather, though we did have little peeks of sun here and there. In spite of the odd group huddle for warmth, we got some excellently goofy shots, and even some superheroes made an appearance. Following a superb golf shot by the bride, we finished up our formal set with some of the sweetest moments we've seen of a bride and groom. Back inside for the reception, we enjoyed some laughs with the ever classic shoe game (with a super-kissy twist!), as well as an incredible 'peek-a-boo' superhero cake. The two sweethearts danced their first dance, afterwards taking it in turns to cut in on their parents, and then the night was filled with pure and awesome cutting-of-rug. It was such a great day, filled with laughter, love, and general merry-making. Really, what more could you ask for?
